What the height figure actually means
The third number (30 to 40cm) is the height to the top of the headrest, not the thickness of the mattress your dog lies on. It is what makes the chin support work.
Between two sizes?
Go up. A dog that half fits will hang over the front edge, which defeats the point of the raised back.

Watch yours settle and you'll see it — the head goes up on the edge of something, every time. A flat mattress gives them nowhere to do it, so they end up half on the bed, chin on the floorboards.
This one has a properly raised headrest along the back, high enough to actually support a resting head rather than just hint at it.

Spot-clean the memory foam base with a damp cloth. Do not put the foam in the machine.

Questions owners ask
How high is the headrest really?
30cm on the M, 33cm on the L, and 40cm on both XL and 2XL - measured from the floor to the top of the raised back. That is the figure most listings leave out.
How do I know which size to order?
Measure your dog nose to base of tail lying stretched out, then compare that to the inner sleeping area in our size guide - not the outer dimensions. Between two sizes, go up.
How is this different from your bolster bed?
This is a sofa shape with one tall raised back for chin support. Our bolster bed has lower raised sides on three edges. Both work - it depends whether your dog props their head up or presses against a side.
Can I wash the cover?
Yes. Full-length zip, machine washable at 30 degrees. Only the memory foam base stays out of the machine - spot-clean that instead.
Will the foam go flat?
Memory foam moulds under weight and returns to shape. It is the loose shredded filling in budget beds that compresses permanently.
Will it smell when it arrives?
There may be a faint scent for the first 24 to 48 hours. This is normal for memory foam and fades quickly.
What if my dog will not use it?
Most settle within one to three days. Put their old blanket on it for the first couple of nights and place it where they already sleep. If they still will not use it, return it within 30 days for a full refund.
